Burtonhead road 20mw gas peaker

Blackstone Energy successfully completed the commissioning and handing over into operation and maintenance of Terra Firma Energy's Burtonhead Road 20MW Gas Peaker.  The project which generates power at 11kV, via 10 no. 2MWe natural gas fuelled generators, which is then stepped up to export at 33kV to the SPEN network was connected to the grid in January 2023.  The commissioning package included cold commissioning of the generators, generator control systems, 11kV switchgear, 33/11kV transformer and 11/0.4kV auxiliary transformer. Followed by hot commissioning and G99.
